Question about fuel system

About how many pounds of boost could i run just by adding Rsx injectors and getting the Greddy E-manage? Its a cheap but easy system i guess and maybe a bigger fuel pump and thats it.

a fuel pump will work on our cars... go to streetlevelperformance.com

i think you need the complete return line conversion though to make the fuel pump work..if you just have emanage and injectors, i'd prolly run 8 psi.. you can probably run 12 but your fuel pump will crap out really really fast...if you have the return line conversion then you can run as much as you want till your injectors max out and you start running lean.. when your tuner tunes it though, he'll be able to tell what you can run without leaning out

You are correct. To utilize a high flow fuel pump you will need to convert to a return-style system. We just got a batch of modified fuel rails done to fill recent orders and have a few left for future kit purchases. If you guys need the kit it's on sale for $650. Hit us up with any questions you may have

w/o a return system, I from experience noticed the injectors near maxed out at 8-9 PSI on stock FP w/ the T3 turbo

I'm going to covert to a return system using a y8 IM. you guys think can I run stock d16 injectors with a vortec FMU and be good to go? or have to upgrade the injectors to run like 6-7psi? and of course I'll get an emanage to retard the timing and make some adjustments.....

What size are they? Are they bigger than type s injectors?

I am running 8 psi with emenage and rsx injectors and there was still a good amount of room letf. so I say about 10psi max.

yeah, they're bigger than rsx-s injectors by about 30-40 cc's I believe. got then straight from Japan about 5 months ago but haven't used them yet. Doing the y8 conversion so I'm not going to need them.

yeah but if you're boosting wouldnt you want some type of higher flow RC injectors?? I understand its a 6thgen rail but what kind of flow will you get out of a D16 injector? I see that you only wanna run 6-7 lbs but I've never met a person that turboed their car and 1 year later was running the same boost level they anticipated when they were originally designed the kit... I was mostly thinking about down the road ....

maybe down the road I'll upgrade and run higher boost, but for now i just want a little more go go and the pretty blow off sound...hehe. I'm going to get an evo in about 1.5 years anyway and that will be my daily driver and the civic will go into the garage for tinkering:P I'll be an officer in the navy in a year, so I'll be able to afford the fun stuff...lol I graduate in december and then go off to OCS and then after I grad. OCS, evo here I come That's why I'm not too worried about going all out right now cause I won't be able to drive my car for 13 weeks starting in Jan. and then another 13 weeks after that when I go to D.C. for more training. Not taking my car up there to get stolen..bad, very bad.

On stock fuel pressure? Return line? E-Manage?

Answer me this. Did you tune using a WB O2 sensor?

If so, how did you ascertain more than 50% more fuel at WOT in the higher RPMS on the E-Manage, where she was just about running at about 12.0-12.5 A/F at 8 PSI on stock FP?

Our car was the exact same set-up and we were running out of fuel to add past 8-9 PSI because the E-Manage doesn not allow any more addition of fuel past 50% per individual cell and do you have a CEL of 1106 or 1107 because of the injector correction factor?

nope I never had a cel after the injector correction factor. I did tune using a wideband o2. SFP did my tunning for me and I wasn't in the car the whole time frank was tunning but we played it safe and had enough fuel to leave the ratio at 11:1 across @8psi. It was a good thing we left it rich too. I was running on the highway and was doing a 4th gear pull and threw a cell and when I checked it out it was because I ran too rich and primary o2 sensor voltage was too high. so I know we have some room to grow on those injectors. But I won't go any higher without the msd inline and the aquamist. next time I go by sfp I'll ask frank about how he did it.

oh when you tuned did you have the Missing link on with the emenage? Because that threw us all off for a while. We were leaning out and breaking up on partial throttle tunning but on WOT tunning it was fine. But after we removed the missing link we got the partial throttle smooth

We tuned with and without the ML. ML seemed to lean out the mixtures more
