air fuel ratio for n20
I just got my bottle filled and ran a 65 shot. my af ran lean
around 15.5 ...not good. My bottle pressure was around 600 ish. Would it have been worse at 800lbs? Luckily there was no detonation. I plan on pulling the nozzle and making sure fuel is squirting the way it should (I bought the kit used) then if thats ok i will up the fuel jet to see if that helps. whats a good af for the juice? I am guessing mid 12's any suggestions?

AHHH HA!
fixed it. it was a clogged fuel jet. stoopid used kit
I should have ran fuel through that solinoid and hose before trying to run it. well you live and learn. If you buy a used kit make sure the fuel circuit is clean. That little piece of poo could have ruined my day. ran it this morning and it was pig rich as you said. 10.0-11 . it felt much better also. now to crank up the heat and give it another run.
Has anyone ever had to get thier bottle recertified? the guys who filled mine told me any bottle over 5 years old needs to be recertified or they can't fill it. They where cool and filled it this time for me, but told me to get it done.

recertified??? I know that SCUBA tanks have to be hydro'd every five years but I've never heard that about a n2o tank ... And I am not sure but how would you test a n2o bottle other than a visual test ... Unlike a SCUBA tank, n2o bottles have that emergency blow valve or whatever that wont allow over a certain pressure ....
yeah you want n20 bottle pressures right around 900 psi. Thats optimal. Anything above 1069 psi and n20 becomes gaseous. You want to spray it as a liquid. Also, if youre spraying a 65 shot, make sure youre timing is retarded between 2-3 degrees. Advanced timing and any form of forced induction is not good.
