Assuming you mean 15.0 or lowwer:
1. Nitrous (cheapest way)
2. turbo (not sure how well that does with the Lx motor though)
3. K series motor
If you just want in the 15's,
practice, not sure if the Lx with those mods are possible or not.

lx i believe run high 15s to low 16s. get weight reduction, racing pulleys, remove ac, power steering, forced induction, engine swap, etc.
btw, drag racing sucks imo thanks

Huh... didn't know that. Thanks!!!
Must be the added wieght or something of the EX.
EX civics run like 16.5 stock.. it all depends on elevation, weather, stuff like that. If you live in the perfect environment for quarter mile.. then maybe.. maybe you can get 15.999 stock, nitrous would be the cheapest way for you.. just get a header and something to tune with. But just forget about the d17 and get a k series

every 100 pounds takes off a tenth of a second as a general rule, so 200 lbs = .2 seconds.. not 1.0 or 2.0 seconds

there's a lot of stuff you can do besides engine mods, for example:
-removing all unnecessary pieces, dash, seats, door panels etc
-lighten the body panels to carbon fibre pieces (hood, trunk)
-lighter rims makes a big difference
-remove cat
-suspension to prevent front end from lifting up
-take out majority of fluids (windshield washer fluid, only 1/4 tank of gas, etc)
-engine mounts to help you from wheel hopping like a ****
-grey's diy gas tank cover weight reduction
-if you drive an automatic, cut off left arm and left leg
-jerk it hard 5 minutes before the race...hey, every bit counts

hey i heard that will actually give you 50rwhp in conjunction with the weight reduction! maybe this is something i should look into so i can beat my friend's maxima

oh yeah. all those mods you listed are actually hurting you. you're taking all that power away from the low end (torque is good to get you off the line), and putting it all up in the top end (we get cut off at 120mph-ish so it's really a moot point)

Just read my profile. Lists all my mods and there is a link in the comments to an old thread listing everything I took out for weight reduction and the est. weight of each part. Those mods, a little weight reduction and some 50degree temps helped me get pretty close to 14's. Just a matter of time before it happens.
