02 civic ex vs. late generation integra
I came up to a stop light and this i think 96 or 97 acura integra with exhaust of some sort or it maybe have just been some type of aftermarket muffler. we took off we were right next to each other as i was in second gear going up in the 5500rpm range then blew him away once I hit third gear then backed off. Once I backed off he sped in front of me then put his hazard lights on then turned em off. whats that mean when he puts his flashers on? let me know guys.
Must have been an auto LS, because there is no way that you would put that many cars on any other integra with only a intake and sohc stickers (just like the Si). Unless those stickers added some serious hp
i raced this Nova on the highway one time and i was like 3 or 4 car lengths in front of him when i hit 120 mph in 4th and thought that was fast enough and let off, and he blew by me and put his hazards on like he won. i laughed, ignorence is bliss i guess.

unless you have some fvcked up tranny our you are talking about an auto. 4th maxes out at around 106-107 on a 5spd go get in you car now and try it, my cars goes

Sorry, I did not see that you had a LX, EXs trannys have shorter gearing the most I could get 20min ago was about 110-115 (did not push it to the limiter). I was not looking at the speedo really hard (for some reason I have a urge to watch the road) which accounts for the range

why on earth do you have an ex motor and lx trans? did you blow your first engine or something and this is a replacement?
dont even say you did a swap, cuz then you should seriously just get out. lol
yeah i blew my first motor and put the ex one in, and it did make my car quit a bit faster my freind has an 02 ex with i/h/e and i make short work of him. and it is a swap not a bad a$$ swap like k20 but even if i had just replaced the engine with another lx it would have been a swap aswell, and were i can see i lost speed is that my 60 ft is a 2.6 and most civics on here it is a 2.2, but i still pulled a 10.4 so i have a lot of top end and dont have as much low end, and i got pulled over doing 103 one time and it was just like a normal trafic violation.
Your 60ft is a result of not knowing just how to launch with a Vtec engine and losing traction as a result. The only way that you would be faster than your friends is that your car may be slightly lighter, but not enough to make that big of a difference. Your car will be faster than before, but again slower than a ex as far as 1/4 because of longer gearing. Top end your car could theoretically go faster, but I think that the laws of physics will take affect and it may take you some time to run out of 5th
