Help adjusting B+G Coilovers

okay so i got em on my car.... i was able to drop the front no prob. But i can't get the rear to drop. I was told that you should tighten the rear lower spring: ie make the rings at the pbottom go up putting more preload on the spring is this right? As i do this the height in the rear doesn't change yet but the car seems to be getting looser meaning there is more give in the supension.
