insurance inspection of vehicle
for those whom waited for their insurance company to inspect their car and write out a check or made a payment to you... how long did you wait til the actual day where your insurance carrier inspected your car and made a payment for the damages? did you have to call them and shedule an appointment or waited to they called you for your vehicle inspection date?
does it work if i have the inspector come to my home and inspect it their? or do i have to leave it at the shop?
lmk as much details and procedures possible. thanks

Yup the other insurance sent someone out right away. They took a half hour to write it up and then gave me the check. You take the estimates to the shop, let them do the work, give them the check AFTER work is done, let the shop collect extra expenses from the insurance.

so theirs pretty much no solution to get some pocket money eh? lol
cause im thinking of bringing my car to a friends shop and he'll give an actual legit estimate and charge me only 80% of the estimate. when insurance comes and inspects it, he'll write the check for the estimate to the shop? and ill give 80% of that check to the shop and i pocket the 20%.

thats still possible. all insurance adjusters use the same computer program that most major shops use to calculate labor and materials. one other way, if you dont show the adjuster an estimate and your friend says it cost more than it did he can collect the rest from the company and give it to you. or if the adjuster insists on more than one estimate, you can always go to microsoft.com and download a invoice template for word and make your own. now if you go crazy with that you will get caught. its technically insurance fraud which is a felony and subject to some pretty good jail time. just a few suggestions. not that i would do it. im an agent and you didnt hear any of this from me.
