Blower Motor

Just noticed a real minor squeak when I run the heater/defroster. If I turn the fan off, it stops. Maybe some debris in the blower motor housing, leaves, etc.?? Anyone else run into this??

if u know how to get to the blower motor...try greasing the bushing on the shaft

I have the same squeak now. Where do I need to apply the grease?

is the sound coming from in the cabin or from under the hood...

turn the fan on... and hit the ac button on and off.. does the squeak go away and come back

Blower motors can get outside debris clogged in them, i've also seen small animals build nests in them. To get to it get yourself a 1/4 drive wratchet kit with extensions and a couple screwdrivers. Take out the glove box (might want to empty it first) and it's back there. Good time to replace the incabin air filter as well. You can take it to a dealer but they'll charge you something dumb like 1.2hrs for a simple 20min job.
