RPM 4100 and check engine light

Did any of you have this problem. Sometimes my engine light lights up and the RPM's won't go over 4100. Could this just me a bad sensor somewhere or something more serious like the ECU????

i think that means that theres a seriously problem with your car. go get that checked out immediately.
