I have a 2004 Civic Sedan EX. I just bought a 2002 19mm rsx rear sway for $60 shipped.

I read every post that came up in the searches, on rsx sway and grey endlinks, but i still want to get some NEW feedback...

Some have had no issues with stock endlinks even with autox, but if i get Grey's endlinks will this make the possibility of a break less than 3%?

Do the latest and greatest end links from grey still cause any noises/creaking?

How noticeable is the reduction of understeer with rear 19mm? Even my 350z showed understeer signs. will i slightly feel it in every day driving or will i be oversteering to the point of sillyness?

the car will still understeer, but not as much as before

u won't break your stock endlinks if you attached the bar correctly

I dont have a quality jack at home and since it is brick cold outside, i am having a local speed shop install it. Wont charge much if at all.

He should know how to do it the right way, they did a 20b tri-rotor RX8! but for my knowledge, what is the right/wrong way to attach the 19mm sway? And i do have the oem bushings

the shop will know, and yes it's a big difference (more than a good front upper strut bar).

If you're not experienced and don't have the tools, it probably is best to get someone else to do the work.

I bought one for my EX and after installing it, I didnt like the way the end links were angled so I took it off and sold it. If you compare the angle from the way the stock end links were(practically vertical which is perfect) to the angle that the 19mm was, it looks as if its putting to much stress on the links. It pushes the end links to theyre most extreme angle which doesnt give it much room to move and would only wear out the link quicker IMHO.

Perhaps using Greys links would be better, but I didnt want to spend that much money. Plus the angle of the links would still be the same.

Yup, I switched to Grey's after wrecking 2 sets of OEM endlinks, they're really beefy. Plus they're adjustable so you can compensate for the different angle.

I used the 19mm for over a year and never broke an endlink. I could break the rear end loose too. Best mod per dollar really.

I have the first version and they're plenty quiet. I get more noise from my ES bushings. A little surface rust on them due to all the salt on our roads here but otherwise all good.

I forgot to ask you last night, how much should I tighten the bolts? I wouldn't need a torque wrench, would I?

I'm sure someone has the torque specs, but just tighten moderately with one hand, you don't need a breaker bar and two arms worth of strength. If you're worried just come over this weekend and I'll do it for you

1 year with the rsx-s rear sway bar and stock endlinks. it's a nice upgrade and my endlinks are still doing fine...it's just the shocks that aren't that great. with stock suspension and just the 19mm rear bar i could break the rear end loose in almost any turn. even now i can break the rear loose. my friend in his supra doesn't believe me, but i'm sure i can persuade him otherwise

The 19mm rear bar is a great place to start tuning your suspension... its also a great part for those who want a better handling car, but dont want one thats going to be tail happy (Keeps you safe).

infinite012, sounds like your friend is one of those people that believes that FWD cars can't oversteer....

around 30k on mine with stock endlinks. did it with a friend in about 10mins. HUGE improvment in car control, much more drivable mid corner. one of those and a neuspeed front upper bar you should be golden. oh yeah and some tires cause that bar can stick em
