Raced my buddys eclipse
Hey guys I raced my friends eclipse today. It is the replica of the eclipse in the first Fast and the Furious movie. Its actually pretty cool but also kinda ricey lol. Anyways we both have auto's so its kinda funny that we raced but who cares. I havent raced on the streets in forever so I needed a good adrenaline rush!!! We started from like a 50 MPH roll when I pulled up on him. I "downshifted" and put it into 2nd gear and floored it to 7grand while pulling on him a lil bit 
But then I shifted it back up into Drive and he started to gain on me until finally he passed me. It was pretty fun but be safe out there kids

well even funnier... this hispanic guy in my town has a pretty much stock Eclipse GS-T (except for a blowoff valve) and they replicated the SUPRA. yes the supra, same color, vinyl, you name it. it makes me laugh

u shifted to 2nd at 50?! man if yur gonna race auto just keep it in D3 OR better yet, keep it in drive. Yur gonna kill yur tranny. TRUST ME. but i know what you mean bout that adrenaline rush.

Rep Power: 0 Well, it depends just how you shift the tranny, obviously redlining it (constantly), or making it downshift into a high rpm will kill the tranny on our Civics. Starting in "2" though is obviously dumb just because it takes forever to get the revs up.
As for a 17second car, some people on the site have done quite a bit better than that in an auto Civic if I'm not mistaken. As for why? Well, auto Civics can race other auto. cars I guess.

First and for most, why in the hell would you race an auto civic in "2". Like someone already said, thats only 2nd gear.
Second, if you're going to race an auto, put it in D3. This way you won't have to worry about hitting the ever-disgusting 4th gear in our cars.
Third, why race a 17 second car? Because its fun. Also, I have an auto civic and it is NOT a 17 second car. By the cars I've killed, I'd say I'm in the 14's.
And by the way, tell your friend to be original. It must be very cool to model a car exactly like one in a movie, but not have a damned thing to back up the look. Just tell him to buy a 200 shot of NAWZ and everything will be ok.

A stock, even bolt on auto EX is a high 16 sec, 17 sec car...i had one, yeah race a non f/i auto Vic for ***** and giggles, just don't expect to win much Registered!!
