ok so when i start my 04 ex it does its normal testing of all the lights and crap or whatever but then they all go away except the maintenance required light keeps flashin for a little while. im guessin this is the equivalant to check engine light. if so, can i use one of the OBDII scanners to see whats goin on? the only thing i can think of is low battery but i dunno.

it will flash for a little while and then after 7k miles it will stay on. just hold the mo fo button down that resets the mileage when turning the key one or two clicks.. hold it down and the light will shut off. or you can take it to the dealership and they will do it. It is just a reminder to keep up on mant. that is all. nothing is wrong w/ your ride. =)

this has been covered like 8,983,309 times. just FYI, if the check engine light comes on, there is a prob. Maintenanve req, means oil change or whatever. It doesnt mean you actually need one, it is set to go off like every 5 or 10,000 miles. just hit the button before you turn the car on and hold it for like 15 seconds. It will flash and eventually go off. when it is off, let go of the button.
