Opinions on new car:
I just want to get some opinions from you guys because I'm a little stuck.
I was sure about getting an IS300 and then I suddenly came across a deal that is hard to pass up.
its a 2004 BMW 325 Ci, 5-speed with 950 miles on the clock. It is technically brand new, it even smells like a brand new car inside... just like off the show room floor.
It was a Fleet Vehicle for a big mortgage company and was basically never used, just sat in the owner's yard for a year so they decided to get rid of it.
the price is right around trade in value which is a big plus..... now here is that part that I'm not sure about...
The car is a base model. This means it has no options, just the base model. It DOES NOT have a sun roof, power seats, HIDs, clear corners and a couple other minor things.
It just has your basic BMW standard features which is leatherette, 16s inch alloy wheels, power everything, AC.... just everything a BMW should have.
A MAJOR plus in this car is the warrenty and the free maintence. CarFax says it was purchased in Septmeber of 2004 so the bumper-bumper warrenty is good until Septmeber of 2008. Same with the free maintence.... the maintence plan is also good up until Septmber 2008.
I guess the only htign thats stopping me is that its the basic model.... what do you guys think?

you can always pimp it out later. You gotta see how much those things mean to you. I could get along just fine without power window, sunroof, etc. As long as the car looks nice and runs well, I say get it. Altho I really don't know what it looks like...

What I'm concerned about is that when I try to sell the car that I might have trouble finding a buyer who does not mind not having those things in a BMW.

base model BMW still has power everything... i'm pretty damn certain that it has at least 3-way adjustable power seats, power windows, mirrors, steering, and everything else except a sunroof. it doesn't come with HID? who cares. obtaining a set of post-face-lift 3 series headlights is simple and usually are fairly cheap for the entire package (around $1000 for everything to hook it up), or you could get projector46's (P46) which are aftermarket halogen projector headlights, then purchase some HID equipment and an H7-D2S adapter for OEM-like HID headlights.

I was just thinking having a BMW with no power seats might be a little ghetto.... even though I only adjust the seat once a year haha

id go for it. my dad has the 325i sedan in an auto and that thing is still fun to drive regardless of the auto. its super comfortable and performs really well. great ride also!
i say go for the bimmer, it sounds like a great deal if you dont mind the coupe. but you have one now, so i dont think you do. and there are a hell of a lot of mod options for it. AC Schnitzer, bavarian autosport is a great site, hamann....so many options.

only downside is now sunroof, but most of us dont have them anyway (me!)
so go for it. corners can be cleared. power seats are ridiculous (my opinion).
throw some AC Shnitzer (sp?) wheels on there and you are good to go!
