at 8000 miles, my maintence light came on, and i was wonderin if anyone knew how to turn it off. i think i void my warranty by diy blacking out the headlights. does anyone know if the honda guy just b.sing? or is it true that my warranty voided since i did the diy headlights.

it's real easy to shut your maintance light off. with the car turn off, press and hold down on the button, that located on the lower right side of your cluster. when holding it down, turn your car on, without actually starting it (position 2). wait about 10 sec. and it should shut off; but I would have a oil changed before doing this. If you wanted to take the civic to a dealer. they have to service you, cause the mod was only done to your headlights not your engine.

he's BSing you. I got blacked out headlights and some other things and my car is still under warranty. As long as there's no drastic engine mods there's no problem
