Window issues
My driver's window has auto down and I noticed that when i use the auto down lately it goes down 1/3, stops. goes down another 1/3 then stops each time i hit the button. I brought it to the dealership and told them it seemed like one of the nylon slides is worn out for whatever reason. He told me it was because of my tints and that they will try to grease the tracks.
They greased the tracks and I got in my car later that day to pick it up and tried it out, still the same frigin thing. I know its a slide, I pulled off the panel but I can't reach the slide nor do I really know how to replace it. The window wobbles on the track I can pull it forward and back. What should I tell the dealership or should I just go to another one and have them look at it and go with my door panel off and show these fudgers.
Has anyone ever heard of tints causing this problem???

The tint can be the cause, esp. if the adhesive solution was not cleaned up properly.
There have been some known problems with the power windows this is not the first time it has been brought up.

Yea!!! i think i have the same problem as you... whenever i press the auto down button... the thing gets stuck half way... and won't go up when i press auto up... i then grab the window and press auto up at the same time to bring it up which is real dumb... then again.. i drive a 2001 and maybe this was one of the kinks that they didn't get worked out in production?... haven't brought it to the dealer to get it check up yet.. the window might be out of place or something idk... beats me

The window auto down function works off of resistance, when the window sences resistance it will stop. Window tint can cause the window to stop prematurely because of the resistance against the inside of the door panel. I've heard of people using silicon spray on the door window gasket, and that seems to help.

I've also heard of Civics with no tint do this, try some silicon spray. Lightly apply it to the inside of the window seal, you might get a little streak but it easily wipes off.
