30k Maintainance
30k Maintainance
I got 30k on my 03 civic. Ex manual. question is, should i take my car for the maintaiance for the local shop or to the dealer ? dealer is asking for $250.00 for this and local shop will do the same thing for $150.00 but the question is. i have extended warranty on this car for 75k miles. if something happens in the future, and have to get this fixed, can dealer void the warranty ? what you think ? where should i take my car for the Maintainance. Please advise, Thanks

Maintenance is not required. At 30k, the only thing that might need to be done is brake fluid change (every 3 yrs), and maybe tranny fluid. Take it to the cheaper place but find out what they do first.

Take it to the car dealer. Like mentioned, they know what they're doing and have seen probably already know a lot of the common problems. It's a little more pricey, but it will keep your car running like the day you got it in the long run.

take it to honda but just have the tranny and brake fluids done.. none of the other stuff is worth doing till about 50k-60k.. unless you race it or have money to throw away, then you may wanna do the full service done..

From the ticket, they did the 10K maintenance. After paying, I noticed this and asked why it was not the 30K. They said it was the same.
Customer requests 10,000 mile maintenance service.
Do not rotate tires - - Do not change oil & filter
Requested maintenance service.
Front brakes 8/32 and rear 5/32. Filled fluids and testdrove.
Job #1 total labor and parts 19.95
Shop supplies 3.79
Tax .11
I did not have them rotate the tires. I can do that at home for free. The oil and filter did not need changed at the time.

I'm guessing that Front brakes 8/32 and rear 5/32 is to pump your tires??? and top off fluids? Is this all they did for $23.85?
