A short story of ricer stupidity.
Nothing too exciting or spectacular, but I found it to be quite amusing.
Last night was at the 1/8 mile races at Qualcomm Stadium with my friend enjoying the cars, smell of burnt rubber and race gas. Now San Diego has the worst track record of street racing deaths in amerca, so a few parents of the kids who died made this venue for people to come out and race legally as well as get time slips and what not.
I try to go as often as I can as its only $5 for the night to spectate and $20 for the night for unlimited runs if you want to race you own car. Cops are here, but there are no questions asked about your machine, and they are actually quite pleasant to be around. Its a fun, safe way to spend a friday night with your friends and get some runs in if you want.
So while we are watching the racers, the track announcer starts laughing and after the next race is over makes a rather amusing comment. Well apparently, some idiots decided the legal safe track wasnt good or "cool" enough for them and left to go do some real street racing. Dumb to begin with, but we all know ricers are capable of so much more. Apparently 4 cars left and just had to get that race in as soon as possible, so why not do it in front of the stadium where the legal races are being held? 4 cars line up at the stoplight EXITING the stadium and run it 4 cars wide... Smooth move idiots. Well all the police swarming the area were quickly alerted by all the noise not happening at the track itself and quickly snagged all the cars down. All 4 cars were being impounded and drivers are facing a couple thousand dollar fines.
My friend and I had been there for a while, so we decided to head home for some beers, and as we were pulling out the last of the 4 cars was being loaded on to a flatbed truck to be taken away. The driver was standing the side of the road, still wearing his helmet from the legal races. Being the *** I am, I rolled down my window, honked my horn and proceeded to point and laugh at the idiot.
I still cant get over the fact that they were stupid enough to race less then 1/2 mile from the actual track where they were able to race safely and legally.
Congradulations asshats!
On a side note, there were some very fast cars that came out. Awesome races.

Jeez Nofriends I usually go there all the time to race. There are cop cars everywhere and police everywhere around there. Last time went to one of those was over the summer and I saw like 10 cop cars near the entrance...
How stupid literly can these guys be
Thats almost as bad as all the ricers that were at import days there. I know this because I was there for SCCA solo 2 event that was going on that day as well. Watching my body with his celica TRD run it.
