Tein SS install questions ~ One more Question @ the end
I did search.
I read that a source of noise after installation of the tein ss coilovers, was the rears. So the solution is to cut the dust boot. I havent been able to find a clear answer. How much should be cut off? Someone posted that TEIN said not to cut anything. What are the effects of cutting the dust boot, it must be there for a reason/purpose. Should I install them and check if they even squeek before cutting them, or just cut them right away prior to installation? Thanks for the help.

mine was installed at shop, they tested drive after the installation, then found out some noise came from rear shock, so they cut the dust boot shorter....also got the alignment right away......not matter, cuz I got lifetime alignment.....
I suggest you buy that lifetime alignment at Discount Tire shop, cuz only $120.....thinkin about $40 each time.
good luck

Wait a couple of weeks if you feel safe. When I installed my coilovers I flipped the tie rods, throwing the toe right off, so I got an alignment the next day.

You need to set the height more so then letting the springs settle with coilovers. They will settle but it shouldn't take that long because they are linear springs. However, you may not like the height, it might be uneven, etc. You will have to play with the height before you get it aligned.
