when getting cams installed...
...what else should i get done? i'm hoping to get cams installed sometime next year, and was curious what else could be done very easy at the same time. for little if any additional cost.
thanks for the help. also what range will a cam install likely be?

If you're planning on adding cams for higher revs, then definately put some money into new springs. There's a couple available for K motors, and I know you can use the S2000 ones as well. Depending on when the motor was built, some of the earlier motors have different valve springs in them and they're a little weaker than the later ones... valves will start floating if you start raising the redline. I don't know how easy it is to do, but its worth it.

i have a 2003 rsx-s engine, i've read that they went to a single spring setup sometime during 2002, so i think i'm ok there. and i've heard the springs are the same as the s2000, so putting in those springs would be a waste unless i was going for 9000+ rpms (which i'm not).
anything else besides springs?

Changing springs is not gonna be easy to do. It's not like a cam gear where it's basically part of the cam install. I believe you will have to pull the head to chang the springs. I could be wrong though....

id pull the head off to do the cams anyways. dont want to risk getting **** in there. two do the whole head, springs valves, cams, retainers, head studs, new gasket of course`

How big of a cam are you putting in? A few things on this....you could get a custom made cam with insane lift and duration, but if that's all your gonna do, your probably gonna hurt performance. The springs and associated parts are not going to be necessary unless you are gonna go with a really big cam. The head studs are completely unneccesary unless you are raising the compression. If your not, your just wasting money. And finally, the cam can be installed without pulling the head and if your gonna pull the head just to install a cam, your wasting time and money.
