D16Y...... hmmm...... headers......
basically, modding is expensive...... I wouldnt recommend someone not have lunch for a week just to get cam gears or something (just an example)

after you purchase an aftermarket header, you can go with a straight pipe from header all the way to muffler.. i think that goes for about $150-$250? thats without muffler. muffler would be about $10 for ebay cheap **** or $100 quality apexi n1 or something else. if you dont have smog emissions in your area, i'd definately go for it. but keep in mind, your car would be crazy so i suggest choosing a low profile quiet muffler. even with a quiet muffler, car will still make a lot of noise.
if your doing et's and dragging, should look into lighter wheels and grippy tires.

listen you dont buy a honda to go Fast for Cheap, you buy a honda if you want reliability, if your dont wanna use a lot gas, want a good bang for the buck, are a ricer, or wanna spend a lot of money having fun in a car that wasnt meant to be a fast sports car. In short your not gonna do much without boosting or swapping or Nitrous so there are your options. Sorry to be an ******* but plain and simple a honda is not a chevy small block where you will see huge gains. You dont have much options man and whoever told you, you did doesnt know what they are talking about. 1 word for you. BOOST

u didnt specify anything at all
if you haven't already done so lower it I put after market springs on my 04, put at least a front strut bar, I think you can get a whole set front back and lower on e-bay for under $50.00 I had to run a Neuspeed on my 04 because of that cold air intake.
your car should be fast enough, if you really want to go fast ditch the civic, and buy a Z or something. those suspension mods will make the car handle much better.
Engine wise you could have your head ported and polished, and maybe go with higher lift cams, but that is expensive, and complicated.
