02 Celica GT. 5speed Tranny prob.

ALRIGHT. I know this isn't a Honda... but try to help me. My friend just put a new flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, tob.. the WHOLE caboodle.

Here is the thing though. When they got the whole tranny on. One of the kid's who was working on the car (friends garage) mismatched the brake line and coolant . He hooked the coolant line to the intake... .. and the brakeline to where ever the coolant line SHOULD of went. So basically he didnt have any brakes and he was burning coolant like crazy.

He had a little problem with the axle so we got that fixed today. So basically today he burnt the rest of the coolant that was in the motor (from the kid hooking the wrong line up).... after it got warmed up.. i started to sound like it had a cam in like...the lights were dimming to normal and not normal cause the RPM's where so low then going back to normal.. here comes the wierd part

we when got to his job's garage (pep boys.. where he works)... he said his car was making a screeching sound.. we checked it out.. it is coming from the CENTER of the motor. No joke it sounds like a dying cat or someone letting air out of a balloon.. he did have turbo in it before so he still has the boost gauge... when the noise slowly goes away you can watch the gauge go from -20 (i believe this was the number) and SLOWLY back down to 0...

the gauge and noise are going together.. as the noise slowly goes the gauge SLOWLY goes and follow's every noise it makes..

Imagine a cat screeching or a balloon making that noise it makes... this is what it sounds like...

he is always leaking gear oil from where the axle meets the tranny..

If you don't understand this i'm sorry.. if im spelling is off im sorry. this is how I understood what the heck was going on.

If ANYONE has any suggestions just let me know please. Thanks

So he sucked water into the engine? Ouch.. he should get a compression test down or a leak down test. Google it..
