Ok this is da situation i have 2 12in kicker comp vr's n a 800.2 kicker amp running this subs, ok i had these setup for a mth 1 of the subs gave out i dont think is blown anyways i bought another 1 in case it was, but 2 day the other sub gave out 2, heres my ? the comp vr's have 4 connections in da back 2 + n 2 - i connected da subs on 1+ n 1- im guessing thats at 2ohms, but can i connect both?would it b better? any help will b apreciated thx..

p/s 2morrow im getting a new sub hopefully w ur help i wont have 2 buy another1

They're dual voice coil. You're supposed to connect both sets.

Are these subs 8/4/2 ohm subs? It will say on the box 4ohm DVC or 2 ohm DVC. Get back to me with that and I can tell you exactly how to wire them up. The reason your blowing through subs could very well be because only one voice coil is hooked up.

ok quick update, i was messing around with da supposed blown subs, what i saw is that 1 of the cables in da back was teared off ok, so i connected the other 3 n da sub came back 2 life both of them, so now i gotta a new sub i aint gonna use, anyways time to put it in da car to see hoe it sounds.. ill b back w n update...thx

Wire them parallel, as it shows in the phamplet that should be in the box. If there isn't one, you can find it in the above pic from RF, or go to Kicker's site www.stillwaterdesigns.com

Also, could you quit typing in ebonics? It hurts my eyes. Another thing, sounds like one of your tinsel leads is trashed. Kicker will take them back and either repair them or send you new ones under warranty. Then you'd have 2 subs, and you could sell one or keep both, should you choose to do so.

well i did it like in da second pic of the rf^^up thur n they r working but i dunno for how long this will last, i dunno where i put the damm warranty so i cant take it to kicker but can i take it 2 a audio shop will they b able to fix it?

I would just take it back where you got it and get them to send it back for you. They should do that, unless of course you ordered it. I think there also may be a way to file a warranty claim through their website, but I'm not 100% on that. I know you can get an RA(return authorization) there. As long as you have your reciept, they should let you return it. You'd probably have to pay shipping there if you sent it yourself though. If you got it at a shop, take it there and tell them the problem. They'll probably offer to send it off. Some shops might even give you another and they'll take the warranty return and put it in their stock.
