OMG Alpine, this is even worse than lightning-strike amp rating!!
Ok, so in my travels this morning, I came across an Ikesound ad for Alpine speakers. To be fair, I'm not yet sure if the ad comes from Alpine or from Ikesound because Alpine's site is down right now and I cannot check. Anyway, here goes:
Pair ALPINE SPR-174A 6-1/2" Type-R Coaxial
320 watt 2-Way Speaker
Then it says,
160W Peak Power each (320 watt par pair)
Not only is the rating in peak, but its both speakers combined??? LOL
In reality, these speakers are only 40w RMS
That's just silly!
