Best Swaps
Don't even bother with the K24A2 from a TSX. May have more power than a regular K24, but how are you going to get around the electronically controlled throttle body? Just buy a K24 block and bottom end, and slap on a head from a RSX Type-R or S.

out of all of those, I would go with a k20a2
Just read September issue of Honda Tuning; excellent in depth analysis of "new" K20 engines, advantages and disadvantages of various componants with lots of input from Hasport and Hondata. October issue has an article entitled "Hybrid How-To" which shows the ideal setup, a frankenstein: K20A2 (RSX Type S) head mated with a K24 (2.4 liter) short block from a CRV. I believe Hasport has already fit one in a 7thgenvic. If you need to know how much this ideal setup costs, you can't afford it. Seriously, though, these articles are must reading for anyone considering a K20 swap.
i already got the rsx type r dropped in for me liek a month ago...and im happy with it...if ur going to go for the type s...might as well spend like 1 or 2 extra grand or wait a lil longer and save up....its worth it...220 hp at 8400 rpm...and rite now im doing a lil upgrades on my engine if i can find some...then after that...turbo that sh*t..i know some people say it wont be good doing that turboing a type r...but i know some guy in line pro that got a k20 type r in his 96 hatchback..and turbo dropped in...muhahaha...but just saying..its your decision =P =P =P

Has anyone here of rebuilding up our d17's? Is it possible to bore the engine but better pistons, prt polish and change the valve springs. I don't know what I'm talking about but I remeber this dude with a Teg and he had his stock engine redone.

The standard RSX motor has clearance issues with the intake manifold. The K20 out of the Civic SI fits fine. The RSX-S K also has no clearance issues. So the "Best Swap" would be a K20A2, because of the easy drop in and the availability of the mounts.
