VIS Body kits (r34)
I ordered a VIS octane r34 kit though my body shop and they've been working on it for over a week. It's a bad mold. Nothing was straight hook up. I mean after the sanding and patch work (it's fiberglass). Right sideskirt had to be shaved quite a bit and a little fiberglass added to the edge on one side, but it fits perfect now and looks great. The left side skirt has to be extended about an inch on on the front and shaved on the top quite a bit. Then the front bumper..the upper bar is too short. Has to be exented about an inch and a half. The bumper isn't WIDE enough. Has to be exented on both sides just to be able to get it on. The fitment around the headlights is horrendous. Lots of work is going to have to be done on the front bumper alone. Rear bumper is not much better. It's wide enough, but the interior isn't shaped right to be able to connect to anything so exentensions are having to be made inside of it. VIS wanted to charged them 120 bux to send the kit back and they would send a new kit. The only thing was they weren't going to pre-test fit that kit either. What the hell good is that? VIS is usually pretty good about stuff like that...I don't know who had their head up their butt this time. At this rate, I won't have my car out of the shop for another month.

the folks at the shop were saying it was something with the r34 kits specifically. They have ordered lots of VIS kits that have turned out fine, but they've done 3 kits that were for different cars all with r34 kits that were quite troublesome.
