What are some of your personal favorites when it comes to turboing parts? Which have the best performance, reliability, and durability? I mean turbos, types of manifolds, blow off valves, pipe sizes, etc... Also, does anybody know how much power to the wheels can be pulled out of a D17A2 with stock internals?

It all depends on your setup and what you want to do with it that will make it a "best part." There are plenty of excellent parts out there, garrett, tial, turbonetics, hks, greddy, MHI, IHI, KKK, full-race, etc. It all depends what you want to do. Pipe size is generally calculated based on flow rate and a theoretical maximum speed of the air without causing significant drag. On a honda motor it is usually 2-2.5".

im basically wanting to make decent hp on premium pump gas and have a nice loud turbo setup. down the line somewhere i'll upgrade internals, but until the money comes around ill be on stock guts.

There ya go. Personally I would replace the missing link and SF fuel system with a greddy emanage but its up to you.
