GSR vs. SRT4 vs. D17 Turbo

well after work last night, a friend from work and myself met up with a couple guys to hang out...well to make a long story short, we were going to see what my car (on 5psi) would do against a '01 GSR with a JDM STOCK GSR motor in it....first we did it from a roll...it was HIGH *** 2nd gear for me (like 5000rpm in 2nd )...well he said I took him by a car and half (I'll let him verify this b/c I'm not sure)....then we did it from a dig (DAMN I CANT LAUNCH ) and he beat me out the hole but I caught up with him at the end, like going into 5th gear (so in the 1/4, he would have gotten me)....anyway so I line up with a SRT4 running 17psi ....I was on 8psi....he jumped out on me a lil'...didnt matter...HE PUT 4 CARS ON ME QUICK!! ....then we did it from a dig on my 8psi again but this time on his 7psi (which he says is good mid 14's or so for him)....once again....BIG NASTY BURNOUT (here he put an INSTANT car on me) on my part but I pulled on him and by the time we shut it down, I was neck and neck....so all in all this was like my first race with the turbo and not bad for the SOHC (workin my way)...thanx to the guys in the SRT and GSR (the're my friends that helped with my turbo install)

oh btw, I had a passenger during all of this and on my stock 15 inch wheels

cant wait till the new plugs come in so I can switch from alcohol to methanol and oh yeah damn energy suspension still waiting on that...thats coming with my new plugs...sucks Options site not up and running, I would have had those two mods 4sho by now...thought I would share...
I NEED LAUNCHING LESSONS

here are my current mods also:

Garrett T3 Super 60 turbo trim
SF equal length manifold
SF 2.5" dp
SF PFM Fuel System w/ alcohol injection
SF Intercooler
SF Mandrel Intercooler Piping
Turbo XS Blow Off Valve
ACT Clutch
NGK Platnium Plugs
Custom 3 inch exhaust....no resonator, no cat
Koyo Radiator
Greddy Profec B Spec II
Greddy Turbo Timer

uh stock jdm gsr? I dunno man, check your driving ... I could pull on my cousin's 92 cx gutted hatch w/ jdm gsr, i/h/e/im when I was running 7 psi turbo ... YES we are good drivers

yeah I raced the GSR on 5psi and from the dig, I spun like CRAZY at the start so I had to play catch up and plus I had a passenger and he didnt (not that that matter much ) but from a roll (according to him, I couldnt tell) I put a car and half on him...maybe more...just going by what he said afterwards...but yeah for as launching, IT SUCKS

nice kills, however most srt4's peak at 14 psi and settle to 12 psi so good luck finding another one running 7psi

heh I just checked your mods .. you may wanna use something other than platinum plugs ... sf told me turbo = melts the platinum plugs

the SRT's low boost setting is at 7psi and high at 17psi

and the GSR is for sale

and I'm waiting on some IK22's and some Energy Suspension Motor Mount Inserts

and I'm looking to buy some 15's and keep my 18's off unless I go to a show...I can tell a HELLUVA difference in my 18's and my stock tires...this was my first time ever driving the car with the turbo on with my stock tires

drop some azenies in the front and launc at like 2500 - 3000 like others do with boost.. one person on that single cam boost or no boost makes a big difference.
