Yeah, these are stronger pistons. They're forged and are a 9:1 compression ratio. They can handle a lot of boost....my engine would blow before they would. Also, the piston rings are good to 22 psi....so those should be safe too.
They're 75 mm. They're going to the machine shop to get connected to the rods. The mech said that he's sending the old ones to the shop to get the pins heated and taken out. Then they're going to put the pistons on the rods and put the pins in and heat them up.
I guess it'll hold better ?

so ur going to tear the whole motor apart for this and not put rods in, i mean yes i know i did the same thing, but now im pissed out of my mind, and if i had the opportunity to do it again i would. what PSI are u plannin on running with what ur doing as is
Well, the only reason I ripped it apart is because I fried every single one of my pistons. The rings were basically welded onto the pistons...and the ringlandings were absolutey shot.
yea, im getting mine in within the next two weeks. Mine were black, nasty lookin ****'s. All i know is im replacing the rods, might as well while all the stuff is being replaced at one time. Plus, rather be safe than sorry

how long to install? 75mm is stock size right? any difference if bored bigger? and will it affect performance i.e. idle, acceleration reason i'm askin is that my ride's a daily driven car, and I wanted to have the power aswell as reliability i.e. not breaking down every week
sorry im a noob
but please help me clear this out...
sorry im a noob
but please help me clear this out... mine that i got are stocksize 75mm, from what i heard the idle is pretty close to stock, and acceleration will probably feel stronger due to new, stronger engine internals that will love the taste of boost...so ill let you know everything by october, cant wait
