Any superchargers out there?
hey all, i was wondering if anyones seen/heard of a supercharger out for our car yet? i was hoping to get one cause turbo would prolly blow my automatic tranny. i know that supercharger would do the same but i think itd be a better choice if i dont want to run too much boost because of how it affects the power curve. so pretty much if anyones heard of a supercharger out for our car leave a link/any info u got. oh if it helps i got a 2001 lx coupe automatic. thnx...

for a super member you just made yourself look like a noob. try searching and you will find that a supercharger will never happen for the 7th gen.

turbo's are more efficent than a supercharger. Turbos require spent energy (exhaust), supercharger's require more energy since they're running off the belt, taking power to make power. Even if there WAS a blower for our cars, turbo would be a wiser decision.

ok and i know all this. and v8eaterokv6 howd i make myself look likea newb? have u ever seen a SC power curve vs a turbo power curve? SC produces power throughout the rpm band and yes i know it will never produce more power then a turbo and yes i know the turbo is more "efficient". but like i said i like SC because of this, it wont put out as much power but thats ok since i dont want to blow the tranny. and ive heard of ppl running 6lbs of boost on autos witha turbo without any problems. so, now that thats all said and done i didnt ask to be flamed but ppl who think they know more then me, i asked if any SC was out on the market for our cars. ic that there obviously isnt. thank you for the responses, and have a good one.

its in the south cali forum? not sure why thatd be because i posted it in the forced induction/engine swap forum. and i know there are plenty of other threads about this but im looking for an update, things change, companies change their minds. i dont see why jackson racing (i think thats the name) doesnt release one for our cars, they have em for the 1996-2000 EX's.
my supercharger has a bypass valve.... it works with the same idea as a blow off but instead of taking the air to atmosphere it dumps it back into the supercharger.... so no cool wooosh sound........ the whistle on the other hand is super menacing

Super chargers can use BOVs. The loudest most ridiculous BOV I have ever witnessed was on a supercharged Cobra. The thing threw out so much air and sound I thought a tire blew.
