about ex heads swap to an lx
I made this a new topic because I didn't think anybody was reading the main one anymore but anyways. So I've read all of the messages and people keep on adding stuff so can someone tell me all the parts I need to do the swap? I really want to do this swap that would be great. This has just become the next thing on my list to do so I want to start collecting all the parts I need so just let me know please. Thanks

I know how to read. So is it ex heads, gasket, valves, retainers, camshaft and vtec silonoid plus the vafc II thing? I think it will be well worth it from what I am hearing from the guy that did i.

Incorrect, that's the point of the VAFC II device, that will control the Vtec to activate and deactivate at a manually specified rpm That is so you don't need the EX ECU and won't have to worry about having teh dealer reflash it and your keys.
its just a matter of preference.. im going to be boosted this saturday so with the low compression pistons of the DX/LX combined with the bigger lobes the vtec supplies from the EX head gives me a more better advantage than a straight DX/LX engine with turbo and a straight EX engine with turbo... EX engine has a higher compression which is not ideally good for turbo setups.. plus using the vafc2 to control vtec also gives me more flexability in tuning my car regardless if i had a turbo or not

Also another question I have is that you said you found the VAFC II for 200 somewhere because everywhere I look I see it for 299 or more. Can you hook me up with a website or something like that?
