ok heres my problem, everytime im bassing out, in the inside of the car sounds nice n clean, but in the outside the trunk rattles like it wants to come off lol, but yeah is thur anyway i can stop the trunk specially from rattling, i was thinking of taking of my spare tire, cause i got dynomat already on the trunk lid but it still rattling, so if any1 can help me out ill appreciatte thx..
First make sure your license plate is not causing most of the noise. Mine was and just using one of those license plate kits helped a lot.
Second. Can't you adjust the rubber stopper things on the trun by twisting them. If you twist them one way I think it extends them. When you extend them they put more presure on the trunk and it might help stop the rattling.

One of the tricks we show off with the SPL cars at shows is to get the system going fairly loud and then closing the doors. They spent so much time deadening the car that when you close the doors you hear NOTHING and it really amazes people. I'm sure if we closed the door and you heard BZZ BZZ BZZZZ everybody would be less than impressed, don't you agree?
But that just IMHO

i don't have any money to fix it so i just got rid of the license plate holder, did the rubber screw thing, and put towels on either side of the lock(that helped the most) and water doesn't seep through, hella ghetto though...

I put Dyna-Mat on the lid and used cotton behind the license plate to stop the unnecessary sound. The cotton works great cause you dont need to put any holes or buy anything extra to fix it.
I actually just used some 2-sided foam tape I had laying around on the back of my license plate. It sticks to the back of the plate REAL well, and I didnt take the paper off of the other side so it doesnt stick to the trunk. That, moving the latch, and unscrewing the rubber stoppers eliminated most of my rattle. I think the remaining rattle is coming from the rear deck.

alright...assuming you have a 7th gen civic (duh), there are 2 things you can do that will almost 100% eliminate any trunk rattle...the trunk lid is a huge problem, of course...you don't even need to Dynamat the whole lid, just enough to keep the outer "skin" from rattling against the frame of the trunk...like this:
...and the 2nd thing is MUCH easier...maybe you've noticed if you press down on your trunk lid while your subs are slamming that the rattle stops...so, here's your options: a) have a fat chick sit on your trunk while you're parking-lot pimpin', or b) remove the plastic shroud around the latch on your trunk (the latch attached to the rear of the trunk/frame, not the trunk lid...), and, using a 10mm ratchet (Honda LOVES 10mm bolts...), loosen the bolt on each side of the latch (2 total...duh...)...at first, i thought i was going to have to remove the latch, redrill the holes, etc., but it turns out that as soon as you loosen both bolts the latch will just slide down about 1/4"...then all you gotta do is tighten 'em back up...this pulls the trunk tighter, simulating the fat-chick scenario, just without the *** dents in your lid.....HOWEVER.....i'm running 2 S12L7s (SoloBaric 12"s) off of a Hifonics BX1500D (1500 watts x 1 @ 1-ohm), and although my trunk has absolutely no rattles, my headliner, bumper, hood, ribs, teeth, etc. still rattle like crazy...i guess the bass has to go SOMEWHERE, but at least it doesn't sound like midgets wrestling in my trunk anymore...so, hope this helps you in your own rattle-solving endeavors...maybe someone should make this a sticky or something, at least out of respect of the fact that i just spent a large portion of my life typing this reply......GOOD LUCK!

oh yeah...that whole foam-under-license-plate thing helps too...weather stripping is your friend...use it to stop rattles in your back deck and other trouble spots, too...
