Skunk2 Coilover Creaking and Poping when turning wheel
Skunk2 Coilover Creaking and Poping when turning wheel
I installed some Skunk2 coilovers in my 2k2 civic. In order to get them to fit properly I had to remove the top spring plate which contains the bearings that keep the mcphersion suspension system from "winding up" the springs, well anyways, when I installed the skunk2's I had to grease them up a bunch to quiet them down, just wondering if there is a more permament solution like a bearing setup or maybe a self lubricating plastic piece to sandwich between the spring and the car, or did i miss something when I installed them?

you can order 01 uppermounts or you can oil the suspension with lithium grease. I had popping with my Ground Control and using some oil on the suspension made everything quiet. Just be sure to use Lithium grease, not WD-40 because I have heard that WD-40 will cause things to rust over time.

try www.hondaautomotiveparts.com they might have them.
There has to be a better solution then using grease. I dont want to buy the 01 Upper Spring Mounts unless I know for sure they are going to work, since they are gonna be like $100, anyone have any experience with them or this issue?
