I am so confused..

ok, with all the posts and everything that I have read about fuel management/ECU stuff for turbos, I must say that I am utterly confused. I was just reading a post by Opto a while ago, stating some stuff about the Greddy-Emanage being the other stand-alone fuel management able to properly tune our cars. Since you can messing with the timing, and other stuff. On the other hand, I was under the impression (and was about to purchase) that the VAFC II was able to properly tune a turbo application provided that you know how to tune and stuff (also something bout a hack for it?). So, what I am asking, is which fuel management system to go for. I'll be purchasing an SF kit (to the best of my knowledge) and I was going to get the upgraded piggyback fuel EMS that they offer. Now, If i get that, do i still need the VAFC II/Greddy E-manage? If so, which one would be best. and no, I know nothing about how to use the E-manage (not computer friendly). PLease try to keep the flaming to a low...

Recap: Which fuel management system is better? VAFC II or Greddy E-manage and Do I need either of these If I purchase SF piggyback EMS fuel system.

(let this post be an end to the confusion for all!)

Ok.

1. I said emanage was the only thing piggyback for now - because it allows the timing to be adjusted. There are no other aftermarket products that I am aware of on the market at the moment which allow for this. When the EMS is released it will be a viable option.

2. VAFC is a toned down version of the emanage - not worth the price if you are going turbo. The VAFC WILL control vtec settings - emanage will not. Emanage has issues with the newer vtec setups.....If you have turbo, no big deal really. It MIGHT be an issue with wiring - I saw a post on clubrsx about it a little while ago....

3. Only other option is to go mechanical and use an FMU and inline fuel pump.

i am using an msd fuel pump, aeromotive digital fmu and VAFC. With RSX-S injectors. it's worked fine on a few civics. we'll see when it's all installed.

the method you've chosen to add fuel will work - BUT you cannot control timing. Read my other post...timing is going to be advanced if you are going to use RSX injectors...

so by adding the rsx injectors and leaning them out with the VAFC it's going to advance the timming?

Hey vtec...good luck to you purchasing that SF kit bro. I don't know what you've been hearing about it or been reading, but they have not been a damn reliable company at all. Yeah, they have put out SOME quality kits. All I'm saying is, I wouldn't have the patience to wait six months to get a kit after paying $3500 or whatever the price is now. If you can wait, by all means, go right ahead. There is another option though. Dezod is in the middle of putting together a kit for us 7thgeners. Estimated time of availability is next spring. He's doing big things with this kit if you read up on his thread. I'd say to wait for that kit.

I'm in the process of contacting someone about a possible fix right now!

If there is no fix - than if you wanted to adjust your vtec you would need a VAFC.....

The fix, if it works, would be quite simple.
