Reseting Ecu after swap???
I am done with the swap and all i have left is to reset the ecu, However the Acura dealership intown said they wouldnt do it... I was wondering if there was another way about doing this without having the ecu to be taking to a dealership or should i just try to find some dealership that will do it... thanks
also i was wondering if i sent off to hondata and got the reflash if that would fix the problem

if you go with the hondata youll have to get the k-pro. Just the normal reflash dosent do anything to the imbolizer. If you get the K-pro youll have the option of turning off the imbolizer. I would just keep looking for a dealer that will.

Are there any other Acura dealerships around by you? It took me some persuation to get them to do it, but they did it eventually. If you have all your cridentials its perfectly legal so i can't see why they wouldn't do it...bastards.

did u talk to some schmo at the service desk, they dont know ****, keep going up the chain, get to the service manager, and then if he dont do anything go to the sales manager, just keep going up the chain, somewhere along the way it will get done, i didnt have this type of work to be done at the dealer, but i did have a snag once and all it took was a pissed off walk to the service managers office, if he dont work, then go to the sales manager and tell him u didnt buy this car here for them to do nothing for u!

the only other option that i can think of is you can send your ecu to jdmhondaparts.com and they will remove the imbolizer from the ecu. But in doing this your check engine light will allways be on because of it. It think its like 60 bucks or something like that. You can check it out on there website. But i would only do this if i had no other opotions.
