best shift for peak hp

i have a 2001 civic ex, i know what the hp peak power is at stock, which is 127 at 6300 rpms. i'm wondering do you change the shift point a little higher like at 6500 rpms with a aem short ram intake, dc sport 4-1 header, and full ractive exhaust?

i dont know what ur situation is but when im at tracks i always keep my foot on the gas at full throttle...i have the shift lite set at 6500... so when the lite comes on i press the clutch in (while still holding the gas) and shift to the next gear which usually brings my rpms back down to about 4600-4700 around there (my vtec kicks in at 4500 so which is just perfect to keep it in vtec mode)... i have saw alot of dyno graphs for our cars and our highest peak hp is around 5700-5800 around there give or takea few rpms

yea... but u also dont wanna shift at the peak hp either.. a little higher than peak hp is optimal.... because if u shift at peak hp then when u get into the next gear ur rpms are gonna be too low on the power curve

I think the best shift point is the search button. There is a thread about this in the track/street/strip forum.

And for the d!cks that like to tell me to provide something after I say search, here it is. It'll only happen once in a blue moon.
