Me Vs EG hatch

on the way from work this EG pulls up next to me at a red light.... its lowered and has some annoying exhuast. It has 4 people in it and the dude starts reving.... I usually ignore these type of people but i thought I would win cuz he had a packed car. Well, we take off and I get him off the line but then he just starts pulling away slowly. The EG had an AEM license plate frame so I'm assuming he had an intake along with the exhuast.

Another sad day for the 7thgens........ I wonder if I had my stock wheels and not some heavy *** 19s if I would of beat him. Then again I dont think huge wheels make that much of a difference.... correct me if i'm wrong.

Anyway, it sucked

With some peeps today you can never really tell. He could of had a nice swap under that hood. But assuming all he had was I/E then maybe it could have been the rims. Peeps up here have been telling me to ditch my 17's cuz of the weight. So yeah, ur 19's i'm sure slow it down pretty badly. Do ya have a 5-speed or an auto. Hopefully not an auto. Auto plus 19's would have lots of peeps whoopin up on ya. Big rims, as someone put it to me yesterday, have a much higher amount of rotational inersia. More force is needed to complete 1 rotation vs. stock hubbies. But don't feel bad. Ya win some, ya lose some.

6thGen_99 is an unknown quantity at this point
you should definitely change your wheels, they make you so much slower. Get some nice 15's or 16's.
