Annoying problem...
when I have my amp turned on, I can sometimes hear a slight rumbling or something from my subs, sometimes it seems like there is a low constant tone going thru them and sometimes it doesnt make any noise at all
the other day when i noticed when I turn my gain past a certain point i all of a sudden get the tone thing from my subs
What could be my problem?

I had a similar problem occur with higher frequency noise when i used my laptop as the source for my HU and it didn't occur when i tried it with my friend's laptop. maybe there is low frequency noise from your source or bad conncections or a bad ground. I've heard noise induced from power wires close to signal wires and that is usually high frequency.

Alls I did was turn down the level on my line driver the tiniest bit and the noise went away...
what's your take on that?

Yes it is within 3' of my amp
As for another update, my noise started to come back today but it wasn't as bad as it was before... I am starting to suspect a bad connection on an RCA somewhere

I would doubt it, my RCA's are top of the line
I think it's a shitty connection somewhere, my RCA's fit so tight they sometimes push the inner part of the female connector in on my line driver and I have to remove the case to make it fit properly. Maybe that happened and I did not notice
