Lx To Ex Swap

Before anyone starts flaming my engine got fuked up. so i found a VTEC engine with the ecu and wiring what else do i need to swap this out? will i have a problem with the immobilizer since i changing the ecu?
Any help will be appreciated.

Yeah the keys would have to be recoded to the new ecu most likely. A dealer could do it if you give proof that the engine isn't stolen. I'm not exactly sure, but I think the ecu is all you need, since you've got the entire vtec engine already.

I have a receipt with the VIN. is the vtec controller mounted on the engine or is it somewhere else cuz i dont want these guiys to forget to give me parts i will
need

will the ex engine turn over with my lx ecu... this is so i dont have to tow to the dealer

it should, thats what im running my car on, i have a EX motor and an LX ecu

Do you have some form form of VTEC controller to engage vtec at a certain rpm or what?

I think u have to have a VAFCII or EManage to engage the Vtec. I know the lx ecu will work fine, it just won't go into vtec thats it.

I think he just wants to be able to limp it to the dealer and then swap in the new ecu once the key is coded. Car won't be driving well without vtec. To answer the other question, the vtec solenoid should be on the engine somewhere.

my other engine took alot of abuse and finally gave out on me. its more epensive for parts than to buy it so i bought it
