I recently installed an amp a few weeks ago and worked until now. The only issue i had before was every so often my amp/sub? would pause for a second then it would produce sound again. The amp didnt go into protection while it did that either. But now i have a bigger problem cause the amp will not even turn on now. What are the step i should go though to troubleshoot my power problem? I just checked all of the wiring and it looked fine and i even made a new/better grounding location.

make sure you are geting power to the remote wire, check the fuses and power at the amp. If everything is fine, it could be the amp. I would have to see it. where in mass are you?

Does the amp shut off or merely stop producing sound?

Megahurtz: when i had that problem it just stop producing sound but now its no longer the problem since the amp dont turn on

Double and triple check ALL connections

Is it your sub only that cuts out? Or all speakers?

it just so happens that today i go to look over my connections again and before i even had a chance to i turn on my system for the second time today and it works. kinda weird
