yeah I read your post yesterday and noticed you had a tough time with the tweeters. How did the speakers fit any modifications have to be done there. I thought of the tweeter pods but I think the flush mount looks more custom and clean.

I have those speakers in my doors! Had to cut the metal to and make a spacer almost an inch thick to keep the speaker from obstructing anything.

i used 5.25" speakers with a custom MDF spacer..should fit no prob but i havent put it in yet

the tweeters took a long time to install into the pods but i think it's better than flush mounting them into the door. just my opinion but i dont think flush mount looks very clean, especially when my car has a beige interior.

My installer had the same problem. He had to glue them in the tweeter pods. It actually looked really good. you could try flush mounting them in the door panels also. Only thing is, your soundstage might be too low.

Do they still fit under the stock door trim speaker grilles with an inch spacer in place? If not whats the deal, can u mount the supplied covers over the slightly bevelled door trim around the speaker (hang on isnt it all integrated as a one part door card trim?) Also is the spacer included with the component kits?

I was about to buy these speakers for my coupe and have appreciated this thread. Can anyone recommend these speakers on their quality for the price?

Thanks
