I.C.E. noob question
Well I gave up on the flase floor box, and I recently bought a couple of these... http://www.purecaraudio.com/index.as...OD&ProdID=2173 with this amp... http://www.purecaraudio.com/index.as...OD&ProdID=2168
I basiclly just need to know what is a good setup for this since I know nothing about them. They are DVC so I know you can wire them different.
I just want it to be wired up right. Thanks.
It's not my bag baby!- Austin Powers.

Not really better or worse...usually, you want to match the lowest ohm load that your amp is stable at with the combined ohm load of your subwoofers (or any speakers for that matter). Amps typically put out more power at lower ohm loads (ie: my amp puts out 600 watts at 4 ohms, and 1200 watts at 2 ohms).
...if this makes any sense

for most power you would wire each sub's voice coils in series, then in paralell to the amp. you would bridge the amp. each sub would see 200W continuous power, of the 300 max it could take. looks like you'd want a sealed box between .5-1.0 cu. ft, i'd try to be at 1 cube. or ported is a whole 'nother story
www.bcae1.com btw, great site, rea it all for any questions.
Neither, it depends on the amp. 2 ohms, 4 ohms, 8 ohms, none is better than the other ..... Where it matters is how its all connected to the amp.
Take this amp:
500x1 @ 2 ohms
250x1 @ 4 ohms
125x1 @ 8 ohms
Now for this amp what would you get? Personally I'd get a DVC 4 ohm sub, wired in parallel so it acts like a single 2 ohm sub, and gets all 500 watts. If you wired that same sub in series, it would act like a single 8 ohm sub, so it would only get 125 watts.
You want to consider the number of subs and the ohms so that when you do hook it up you can get to the lowest ohms that the amp is rated for.
Most monoblock amps put out max power at 2 ohms. Some of the new ones put max power at 1 ohm. If your amp is geared for max power at 2 ohms, but you wire it to 1 ohm, you will most likely fry the amp. Higher ohms than the amp is rated for is ok, the amp just puts out less power. Lower ohms than the amp is rated for is bad. The amp tries to put out more power, and fries itself.

Use this diagram here
http://www.bcae1.com/images/gifs/spk2dvcs.gif
That amp still isn't big enough to give those subs the power they will need, so you may experience clipping. If it is not too late, I would go for a more powerful amp that will put out at least 600-800 wrms.
