Dawww, I just spanked a SE-R Spec V
So I am in this stock black 01 civic DX (5 speed) and this girl is in a 03 spec v with I/H/E/MM/S-AFC/NX express nitrous/SS.
We line up and agree to go on three honks. I take off laying rubber about 1/2 car length ahead, I hear her bouncing off the rev limited like six times followed by rubber into 2nd. I pull another car or two ahead -- i can hear the howl of the AEM intake but the spec is actually losing ground at 60mph. We both shut down and try again.
This time by 60mph I was only 1/2 car ahead and I didnt hear the rev limiter.
For the record the AFC is untuned and the nx express is empty. ( i would let her use it at this point anyway) since the spec v is MY CAR.
I was just curious if i could beat my g/f when she drove my spec v and i drove her stock DX.. Its amazing how much a difference the driver can make. it was only her 2nd time racing ever, i remember my first couple times were terrible.

Just thought you guys would like to hear about how a 01 civic dx in need a of major tune up could beat a mid to high 14 second sentra se-r.
The difference between the civic dx and my sentra se-r in acceleration is much greater then that of my sentra se-r and my friends 2004 Subaru STi...

Of course you beat the car. The driver is a good portion of why the car gets to the finish line. There are other things as well, but a good driver with a slower car will always beat a "better" car with an inexperienced driver.
yea driver experience is the whole thing u could have someone driving a ferrari that doesnt know how to drive worth a **** and say u beat it but if that person could drive u know ud get eaten but good kill nonetheless (I guess?)
