How do you wire door speakers to an amp.

Like the title says I was wonderin how to wire the door speakers to an amp. I will post pics of my amp if needed. It is a 150 watt rockford and I was wanting to hook it up to my alpine door speakers. type s. would it blow them?

model numbers would help (esp for amp). Look at the power handling specs for your speakers to see if they'll handle the power produced. As for wiring them, click the search button at the top, this has been covered many, many, many times. Pics are on here somewhere.

i did search but all i could find are post and reposts on fitting the door speakers in the holes.

i know how to get the wires to the speaker but how do i hook up the amp for door speakers. how do you wire it up?

Hook the wiring from your amp to your + and - input on your xover. I would recommend not mounting the xovers in the doors as it is just another set of wires you have to run thru there...

Hooking up your SPS-171A component set is easy. Run a pair of wires for the woofer and tweeter into your door (2 pairs of wire per door), and then hook the wires from your amp directly to the xover.
