I am looking for the wiring color codes for my 2001 Honda Civic Ex manufacturer head unit? Can any one help me?

are you changing to an aftermarket HU? i dont have the codes but if you are i suggest ya buy the wiring harness for it rather than splicing wires. much cleaner and easier.

if i'm just changing the speakers and not the head unit can i use a wiring harness?

yes you can.

rule is dark colors= negative, light colors = positive. oem wires are the weirdest colors, like rear speakers are pink and blue... pink would be +, blue is darker so it's -


but the best part? you probably won't know if you mixed up polarity on wires, it'll still play fine and won't damage equipment. some tuners switch the wires back and forth to try and improve sound, for basic non component speakers i wouldn't waste my time
