AEM Tru Power Pulleys
AEM Tru Power Pulleys
hey i'm about to get an AEM SRI for my 03 sedan. since i heard SRI's are mainly for high rpms 3 or 4000+...i was thinkin if pulleys are a good way to increase some lower rpm gain.
one of my friends who works w/ cars sed he could do the intake installation but he sed he aint familiar w/ pulleys. are there any big shops that might be able to install the AEM pulleys if i decide to get em? i live in the Seattle, WA area.

Pulleys is definaltely tougher. Many ppl have installed it, but no one has done a DIY on it... unfortunately. Most intakes will cause you to lose low end power. Pulleys is a good alternative, but you may not gain as much power, but you wont lose low end. Also, pulleys is not a good idea if youre planning to run heavy duty electrical equipment.
when u say heavy duty electrical equipment u mean I.C.E. rite? i dont have anything but stock but if anything i'll only put in a 12 inch sub or two..will that be a lot...
when u say pulleys are good but u may not gain as much power. do u mean the intake will have less power? sorri i'm jus trying get some more information about these pulleys..i've searched around and i know i'm getting the AEM SRI. Does anyone have both intake and pulleys and notice a definate change in gain?

I dont have any type of ice in my car nor do I have the pulley set (but I plan on gettin em) so I cant say if that set up is good. Yes, the pulley will yield similar or less HP than an intake but no low end loss. Some ppl have said that the pulleys helped them gain back the low end they lost from an intake. In terms of intake, it's really up to you what brand to get.... only 2 really stand out. AEM V2 or K&N KIPK gernation 2.

Short Ram is for low end power.
get the K & N FIPK II instead of AEM.
pullys doen't come into play until after 92 miles per hour.
headers mdi range to high end...(after 4,000 rpms)
pulley = waste of $$$
