Carbon Fiber Exhaust

Does anyone make a carbon fiber catback or axleback exhaust system? I've looked all over the place and all I can find is carbon fiber mufflers, not full exhausts.

So, I would have to buy a muffler and a catback and switch the mufflers?

It would be cheaper to buy the muffler and get a shop to make custom pipes for you.

Like, how much cheaper. I can get a catback for under 200 and use the pipes from it.

that sounds a lot better. Did you just go to a muffler shop or what?

The difference between a cat-back exhaust and a custom exhaust is that a cat-back exhaust system has been "tuned". A custum exhaust cannot be tuned, so your stuck with what ever sound comes out of the exhaust. Different sound will come out with different piping. Like a 2" will sound different than a 2.5" with the same muffler.

Tell them to make it look like this.

This is a bottom view of the RSR EX Mag exhaust for our cars. Supposedly it's one of the best.

most catbacks have 2.5" pipes... i would go with 2.25" unless you plan on turboing in the near future then i would do 2.75-3"

Please let's not distort the facts. Most cat-backs are available in 2 1/3" (60MM piping). For turbo apps, 3" is excessive for our cars. 3" Cat-back supports 700WHP, which a 7thgen will probably never see. A 2 1/2" or 2 1/3" for a turbo app will be fine and support 250-300WHP.

To initially get back to the topic at hand, I have never seen a CF exhaust. Just a muffler. HKS Carbon Ti is the nicest CF muffler I have seen, but has a hefty price tag attached to it.

^ Probably. I hear 2.5" piping makes you lose low end power, so 3" would probably be worse.
