why do most 02s need the 01 uppermounts for coilovers

I have no clue why 02-up it needs it.
But I do know that you can get the strut top mount for $22.57/each side from www.cheapesthondaparts.com.

Its because companys designed their parts to fit the 01, and expecetd Honda to keep the design... which they didnt, so now you need the 01 parts to make them fit in the 02+...
