A/T to M/T swap

I want to get rid of my auto and get a manual. Does anyone here think it is worth the hasle. What would I need to do it, I found a list earlier but I forgot to save it. Has anyone done it before to know if it is very easy, my friend is a liscensed mechanic and he said he'll do it for me for almost nothing. So I want to do it if anyone thinks it's worth it or if my car will be much faster, does anyone have times for our 7th gens running 0-60 and 1/4 mile for both auto and manual? Any info will be greatly appriciated thanks.

your car wont b "much faster" at all. civics r slow stock, manual or auto. just save up for a real swap n switch tranny styles then.

our cars our pretty slow stock but I thought that the 5th gear will let the car rev up faster and out cars dont have any power until about 4500-5000. but I think I'll take your advice and do the swap later down the road.

you mean the 5 gears as opposed to 4?? whatever u meant, i think its a waste of time. with the money u will spend on gettin another tranny u'll b about half way to a whole new engine if thats what ur plannin to do.
