whatever you do don't mount them to the floor (the shoulder straps that is). if they have eyelet things on the end then they can just be bolted in where the rear seatbelts attach. if not you might need a harness bar or a cage. good luck.

Not if you were to attach them, then clean the underside of the car with soap and water, dry it, and apply some undercoating.

sparco jus came out w/ a new set of harness bars. i'm looking at the article right now as i write this. its designed for a 3'' harness made of 120-wall steel. included in the kit are driver and passenger side verticle reinforcement tubes that connect to thr base of your b-pillar. also helps stiffen up the chassis dynamics and improves overall handling for the car. you also lose no room in your back seat and there is no drilling holes i the floor of your car. website: sparcousa.com ph:1 800 224 race

In short, if you crash, you're guaranteed to **** yourself up.
The tailstraps for the harness should be attached at no more than a 45 degree angle from horizontal. Any more than that, and in the event of a crash, the harness will basically fold your spine in half. You want to go forward in the event of a crash, NOT be pulled down. It also places all the force of the impact on the bracket to hold the harness in, rather than all the stress on the bolt, which is much stronger.
That having been said, you shouldn't be using a harness on the street without a roll bar/cage anyways, so all this is beside the point, despite it being cool to have harnesses.
