i have a question. how come there are plenty of 4 clyender turbos, and also u can turbo a v8 (or at least super charge it). but when it comes down to a V-6 nobody wants to turbo thoes engines. i can only think of one turbo V-6 and that was on thoes grand nationals long time ago.

pontiac fiero 1985-1988,,,,,they have a t3/4 turbo setup,,,,,,,,supposed to make power 50% more think around 197whp. id rather go with a V8 kit.

ok so there are a few but look at how small thoes engines are. thoes are baby v-6's. i mean my grand am had a 3.1L v6, and look at the trucks, some have a 4.0 v-6. the bigger v-6's aren't turbo.. i guess it's cause they don't build thoes motors up.

older (Z31) 300zx are V6 single turbo, and the newer ones (Z32) are V6 twin turbos

ok how come american companys refuse to use turbos?? they only seem to use supercharges (like the grand prix). and even thoes cars are terrible

dodge daytona, ford probe, ford thunderbird turbocoupe, Cummings Dodge turbo diesel, other big ole diesel trucks by ford and chevy, plymouth laser/eagle talon which is DSM but plymouth is an american owned company, dodge neon SRT-4, and im sure many others that havent come to mind

well dang i never thought about that.. and i guess since i'm not that old, i wasn't driving when the turbocoupe was the "new car" but i heard that even though it's turbo it doesn't have nearly the horse power of todays turbos. and i'm not talking about trucks by the way, cause there are plenty of turbo trucks out there. and since when was a ford probe made with a turbo.

it was the previous generation before the last. Im sure it was the 4cyl that used the turbo, the SE, and not the V6 but i know they made a turbo probe, as well as a turbo MX-6

yea ok i can believe the mx-6. but your saying a probe SE has a turbo?? since i live in detroit i have the opportunity to see american cars all day every day. and i just can't belive that. thoes 'cheaper' probes has a turbo 4?? while the GT has a better 6?? and i suppose the turbo 4 is faster too?

Toyota Supra is an inline 6 that comes either as a single or twin turbo setup.

Also, isn't the RB25/RB26 (motors from the Skyline) an inline 6 too?

i'm amazed that no one has mentioned the Grand National yet. Only like 1 of the most well known Turbo V6's

naw i mentioned that when i first started this thread. thats' the most famos v-6 turbo ever i think. it's like GM makes a good turbo then lets it go. as well as ford they make cars with very small turbos, makeing little to nothing as far as horse power goes. and there name brand cars are so restrictive that it sucks. outside of the camero, mustang, there isn't really one car that u can work on to go faster, or performe better.

chevy has a new truck with a 5 cylinder turbo... volvo has made 5 cylinder turbos.

audi, porsche, toyota, nissan, mitsubishi have all made v6 turbos.

EDIT: can't forget the typhoon made by GM (turbo blazer)

84-86 Mustang SVO - 2.3L 4 cylinder SOHC turbo..

Syclone and Typhoon would be the best choices for turbo v-6's... That pickup screwed... AWD
