there's a place in santa ana called speedway metal finishing... they don't powdercoat but they do paint wheels and repair them... to paint 17 inch wheels they quoted me $75 each so like $300 total... but if the rims are bent, they will charge extra for repair, depending on how bad the bend is...

I chose Bronze/Gold... that was like 50 a rim. If you choose black it will be 30 a rim? I'm not sure. Call him up.

I'm gonna probably call those places up too. How much does rim repair cost? I want to powdercoat my wheels gloss black with a polished lip. I have curb rash on all 4 wheels, so was thinking that I might as well get it all fixed and powdercoated.

What's a price I should be looking at to save up for? I want the service to be quality and not too expensive either. I know you guys are throwing out alot of cheap places to do it, but will it start chipping away after a year? Just want to make sure warranty applies for these services.

So 180 for the powdercoat plus 45 for prep comes out to be about $225 for an all black powdercoat. Not too bad, but the earlier prices listed sound even better. Nice car by the way seegirldrift, and thanks for the info.

So for the rest of you guys, did you guys have to pay an additional for the prep? I'm guessing this involves sandblasting it clean or something in that manner.
